About Can-Am NEXT
The Can-Am NEXT program is a groundbreaking development platform aimed at cultivating future rally drivers, navigators, mechanics, engineers, logistics, communication specialists, and other key team roles. Open to young crews (ages 18-25) from around the world, this program provides an opportunity to kick-start their careers in the T4 category and progress to higher levels.
Global Reach and Mentorship
By Dakar 2025, the 5-Car Can-Am Factory South Racing T4 team will be crewed by Can-Am Next teams from four main global regions (EMEA, LATAM, NA, APAC), mentored by Dakar champions. South Racing's partnership with various development programs, apprentice programs, and social development projects aids in achieving this goal, creating a diverse and inclusive environment for young professionals.
Aligning with Industry Initiatives
South Racing's CEO, Scott Abraham, emphasizes the importance of nurturing global talent and aligning the Can-Am NEXT program with existing initiatives like the FIA's Immersion Program. With the recent US expansion, South Racing has increased awareness for Rally Raid and aims to see more future champions from North America.
